Open the task.
Pick up the work.
The conversation, the context, and what’s already been prepared are right there. Edit a draft, explore an idea, or ask Almanac to keep going.

Questions
A few things to know.
What is Almanac?
Almanac is a personal workspace for working with AI. It brings together your tasks, projects, conversations, and knowledge, and helps keep them organised as you work.
Do I have to maintain another to-do list?
Almanac picks up follow-ups and ongoing work from your conversations and connected accounts. You can also add a task yourself, change what matters, or tell it something is done.
How is this different from an AI chat?
Your conversations connect to ongoing work. Open a task to find its context, the conversation, and what has already been prepared. People, projects, and decisions stay connected in a wiki you can explore and correct.
Can I do the work here too?
Yes. Continue a conversation, review a draft, research a trip, or work on code. The relevant work opens alongside your conversation, so you can make changes together.
What does Almanac learn from?
The accounts you connect, information you share, and work you do with Almanac. You choose which accounts to connect. Your workspace brings that context together without requiring you to copy everything into a new app.
What if it gets something wrong?
You can correct the wiki, change a task, or explain what needs fixing in chat. Source links help you check where information came from. Review important details before relying on them.
Will it send messages or make changes without me?
Almanac can research and prepare work in the background. Its default instructions are to prepare drafts and leave consequential final steps to you, unless you have asked it to carry them out. Tell it what you want handled and what you want to review.
Does my laptop have to stay open?
Cloud work can continue while your laptop is closed. Anything that needs your local computer, its files, or a local app needs that device to be available.
Do I need ChatGPT?
For this version, connect your ChatGPT subscription during setup. Almanac provides the workspace and cloud infrastructure; model usage counts toward your connected account’s Codex limits.
What does it cost?
Try the full workspace free for seven days. A card is required, and your subscription automatically renews at $20/month after the trial unless you cancel. You can cancel in Usage & billing. Your ChatGPT subscription is separate.
Where do I use it?
Start with the Mac desktop app. You can also connect iMessage during setup to continue conversations from your phone.
